A tour to Swan Lake

What are they staring at? Is it something interesting or something so eyes catching to them?

swan lake 01

Yes! The swan lake. You are looking at the lake as old as the Gardens. It was built in 1866, since than the charming beautiful memories start. There is an island in the lake planted with Nibung palms, these has to be the most remarkable and timeless iconic in Singapore Botanic Gardens.

swan lake 02

The Banyan tree is old enough to be our great grand father, and also wise enough to play the old garden song.

swan lake 03

Though feeding is not allowed, as long as fishes and the feeder is happy, like-wise the cameraman.

swan lake 04

This wooden swan sculpture has been there for many decades but surprisingly; they just couldn’t get out of this place!

swan lake 07

There are 2 white mute swans from Amsterdam, always there be an ambassador, gliding like a sub-marine, shinning like a chandelier.

swan lake 08

Feed me! Feed me! How could you bear not to feed me?

swan lake 06

I’m so lovely and charming bright!

Crouching Tiger and the Hidden Dragon Pt 2

One blogger put up a request to me for more pictures of these wooden tree stump sculptures displayed at the Green Pavilion, Singapore Botanic Gardens.

In fact, some of the sculptures were also placed as an art deco at the lobby.  This is the one placed as a backdrop of the counter.  No visitors would dare to confront the counter staff with the three dragons behind them.  Perhaps, visitors may have mistaken them for the real ones and wonder why the dragons are let loose from their enclosures.

crouching tiger 11

Do you fancy two gigantic lizards crawling on top of your head?

 crouching tiger 12

A miniature Godzilla having a good life here!

crouching tiger 13

I still can’t figure out what animal is this?  Could it be an eagle?

crouching tiger 17

Is that real? Is up to you to judge!

crouching tiger 15

Are these pumpkins?  What are they doing here after the harvest, waiting for the next Halloween?

Just relax and take a sit, while you enjoy the works of art with our hands, provided by nature.

A thoughtful car parking lot

Posted on Updated on

car park lot 01

Whenever we look at a car parking lot, it doesn’t appear to be unusual, but at least to me, it is unusual!

car park lot 02

An ordinary public car parking lot is usually made of cement, asphalt, bricks or sometimes just a layer of stones screeds.

car park lot 03

This parking lot featured here is made of broken strips of thin concrete slab laid out sparingly.

car park lot 06

Nature will fill up the remaining gaps with weeds and gravels.

car park lot 04

Imagine a little foliage living under a tyre day and night, on the road for months and years.  No passer-by realizes or knew their existence.

car park lot 05

Are we able to feel the hands of hard work behind these thoughtful parties, who are doing a great job for our Garden City?  With intelligent ideas that combines concrete forest with nature green into a song.  A beautiful song composed by a harmony melody and an activist conductor, the orchestra just goes on and on…

easter song 01

When I walk up to you

I lost my arms

The closer I move

I lost my legs

The closer I look

I lost my thinking and smarty head

How can I go on without all these?

Yes, you can!

You can!

Come closer to me

I’ll show you the way

easter song 02

When I walk up to you

I lost my face

The closer I move

I lost my senses

The closer I look

I lost my color and vibrancy

What can I cling on without all these?

Yes, you can!

You can!

Come closer to me

I’ll show you my way

easter song 03

I finally walk up to you

I lost my voice

The closer I move

I lost my melody

The closer I look

I lost my words and my final confessions

Where can I hang on without all these?

Yes, you can!

You can!

I’ll show you my way

My way of living

My face of Hope

A Friday of Good Song

good friday 01

It’s going to be good, after this Friday

Looking at the shinning cross

Paying respect at this moment

Thus, we know of this day

Let’s enjoy walking down the street

A complete silent without singing

And no dancing

Follow the eyes of this man

Sorrow drifting away

Believe me or not

We are going to be fine, after this

Believe me or not

It got to be good, after this Friday

good friday 02

It’s going to be good, after this Friday

Looking at the shinning star

Watching the rise of this moment

Thus, we know of this day

Let’s enjoy walking down the street

A royal hour without talking

And no laughing

Follow the shadow of this man

Fear drifting away

Believe me or not

We are going to be fine, after this

Believe me or not

It got to be good, after this Friday

My sweet Jumbos tree

jumbos tree 01

I spotted a Eugenia Jumbos tree near Eco Garden in Singapore Botanic Gardens. The floor are lying full of ripen fruits. It looks like a dropping bell at a glance.

jumbos tree 02

Eugenia Jumbos has many common names; water apple, Malay apple and rose apple etc.

jumbos tree 03

Eugenia Jumbos is native to Southeast Asia but naturalized in India.

jumbos tree 05

The flesh is crunchy and watery, and the taste is sweet and fragrant. Some time you can find it in the Rojak food. Rojak is a kind of an Asia food that mixes with different kind of fruits, and stir with prawn paste and peanuts topping.

jumbos tree 04

So next time if you happen to see this rosy cheek along the roadside, please greet him with a hello, because he is so shy that needs somebody to be more initiative than him.

Hello, my sweet Jumbos tree!

Green green grass of home

green green grass of home 01

We all live in a house where floor is in leafy green, ceiling in vast blue.

Wall paintings are either sun or moon.

No walls, no wars and no rooms!

We are all lived in the green green grass of home.

green green grass of home 08

We are tiny but we cater for many…

green green grass of home 02

We are the stars of the Eco Galaxy.

green green grass of home 04

We believe humbleness.

green green grass of home 03

We believe simplicity.

green green grass of home 09

We believe austerity.

green green grass of home 05

We believe accommodation.

green green grass of home 06

We believe, we are not the only frail one who swaying in the wind.

green green grass of home 07

We believe we take equal share, whether the sun is big or small, cause we all lived on the same land!
