Song of Tamalan

Posted on Updated on

Song of Tamalan10

Lovely Tamalan, Graceful Tamalan
A tree sat on the hill
Sydney is having a bun
Picnic by your side
Cappuccino under the sky
Watching birds pass by
Sydney is flying high
Tamalan, I don’t know why?

09

Green sleeve Tamalan, Smiley Tamalan
A tree stood on the heritage hill
Sydney is having fun
Singing by your side
Swing together with your charming shy
Whispering a dog pass by
Sydney is flying high
Tamalan, could you tell me why?

IMG_5919

Hardy Tamalan, Wisely Tamalan
A tree being heritage on our green hill
Sydney heard that and here I am
Waving by your side
Dancing through out the night
Looking for a shining star
Sydney is flying high
My dear Tamalan, can you tell me why?

Reblog Valentine’s Song to our deceased friend – CoCo

This is a Reblog article in memory of CoCo, Cougar’s girl friend who passed away a few months ago.

We wish her may as adorable as what she was in Heaven now.

A smiley cloud pass by outside my window this moment…perhaps a angel…

I’m always by your side

I’ll always be your pride

To ease your pain

We go for a ride

We walk on the bridge

Everything will be fine

Don’t ask me why

valentine song 01

I’m always by your side

I’ll always be your bride

To soften your face

We go for a ride

We walk on the water

Everything will be fine

I don’t know why

valentine song 04

I’m always by your side

I’ll always be your pride

To brighten up your day

We go for a ride

You look at the east

Me at the west

Everything will be fine

Don’t ask me why

valentine song 03

I’m always by your side

I’ll always be your bride

To alleviate your naughtiness

We go for a ride

You look at the left

Me at the right

Everything seems to be fine

I don’t know why

I just don’t know why

Hazy song

Posted on Updated on

The song is inspired by the haze pollution cause by neighboring country lately.

hazy song 04PSI is climbing

Ionisers are overwhelming

Everyone grabbing masks and start fanning

PSI three twenty

CSI still on going

Headlines shouting over the sky scraping

No more outdoor fine dinning

No more star glazing

No more picnics and camping

Return me the green

Return me the trees

Return me the sunbeam

Return me the ice cream under the summer breeze

hazy song 02Haze, haze, go away

I’m not used to seeing your face

Haze, haze, go away

I can’t see my lover’s face

hazy song 03

Everyone is choking

Asking doctors to give medical leave

Bosses asking,

What had happened to our sales margin?

Boss, boss, can’t you see we are drowning?  We are drowning!

No more bargaining

No more daydreaming

No more moonlighting

No more lying and blaming

Get back to the street

Get back the sparkling margin

Get back to your own seat

Get back to the client’s face until they can see

hazy song 01Haze, haze, go away

I’m not used to seeing your face

Haze, haze, go away

We got something had to say

A 60s song not about Elvis

Posted on Updated on

This is the Theme Challenge set by Omy as a Blog Awards Finalist has to go through. The theme must be related to something/someone from/about 60’s that has inspired us.

And this has been set in line with our 60s Fever theme this year.

  This is my post-

The+Wonderful+World+of+the+60s++100+Hit+SongsWho is calling in the dews and wind?

Who is dancing Go-go and twisting?

Who is sobbing “The End of the World”?

And who is chasing the “Unchained Melody”?

Who is going to Rock and Roll with me?

Who is “Mrs. Robinson”?

And who is the Beatles and Hippie?

Let it be! Let it be!

Let it be a series of sweet,

sour and bitterness of life.

Let’s hug over the songs of the 60s.

Toast to our memories.

Toast to our stories with unstoppable “Crazy”!

60s song 02Who is calling in the dawn and dust?

Who is playing Kuti Kuti and Masak Masak?

Who is collecting the seeds of Saga?

And who is fighting over the spiders?

Who is counting the 5 stones game?

Who is Mr. Mee Pok man?

And who is the Kachang Puteh and Ice Kachang man?

Good-bye! Good-bye!

Good-bye to a stream of sweet,

sour and bitterness of rhythms.

Let’s flow into the river of the 60s childhood.

Toast to our memories.

Toast to our stories with Kuto Goli

60s song 01Who is calling in the days and nights?

Who is going Jalan, Jalan at the Pasar Malam and watching Wayang?

Who is walking on the moon?

And who is watching black and white?

Who is the Mattar in khaki shorts prowling on the streets?

Who is the Rediffusion they say can sing, can sing?

Who are Sydney and his Jackson Five?

It’s fine! It’s fine!

It’s fine to be a series of sweet,

sour and bitterness of life.

Let’s cheer over the 60s fever’s life.

Toast to our memories!

Toast to our 60s songs not about Elvis!

Song of the Birdcage

birdcage 01Welcome to my embossed birdcage

It’s engraved with scenery of ivory

Crafted with sweetness of memories

How can I hold it without sharing?

How can I keep a vow within?

So I wrote a song

I wrote a note

I wrote a Blogging post

Birds hear that!

But not wings near that!

birdcage 03 Welcome to my antique birdcage

No hanging price tags

No auction gag

Where do we find an old folks song?

When could we build a home sweet home?

Dancing in the wind

Dancing in the night

Dancing with cool red wine

Monkey hears that!

Monkey nears that!

birdcage 02Welcome to my empty birdcage

No more sorrowful songs

No more broken wings

No more contradicting feel of liberty

Where can I find him?

When can I fly with him?

He is not in the room

Not in Google map

Not on files piling up high desk

Can you see it?

Can you feel it?

That is our dream

Our birdie’s dream

Labour Day Song

labour song 01

Never work for a day

Never heard of 1st of May

A happy fish in the air

A passing cloud in the wind

A standing leaf on the tree

No holiday for you

No Sunday and Saturday

Then what about pay day?

Never heard of 1st of May

But still

I see you on this day

labour song 02

Never work for a day

Never heard of 1st of May

A happy train on the road

A crossing man on the run

A flying leaf in the garden

No shoe for you

No break and no lunch

Then what about pay day?

Never heard of 1st of May

But still

I see you on this day

labour song 03

Never work for a day

Never heard of 1st of May

A happy girl, a lovely face

A passing cloud in the wind

A pointing girl on the street

No parent for you

No working and no schooling

Then what about pay day?

Never heard of 1st of May

But still

I see you on this day

Cougar Song

merry christmas 01

When I was just a little boy

I asked my Kor Kor what will I be

Will I be handsome will I be rich

Here’s what he said to me

Hey Cougar Cougar

Whatever will be will be

The future’s not ours to see

Hey Cougar Cougar

What will be will be

cougar song 04

When I grew up and fell in love

I asked my sweet heart what’s life ahead

Will we have chasing day after day

Here’s what my sweet heart said

Hey Cougar Cougar

Whatever will be will be

The future’s not ours to see

Hey Cougar Cougar

What will be will be

IMG_0052

Now I have rugby of my own

They ask my Kor Kor what will I be

Will I be naughty will I be free

I tell them happily

Hey Cougar Cougar

Whatever will be will be

The future’s not ours to see

Hey Cougar Cougar

What will be will be

Hey Cougar Cougar

(Kor Kor literally means elder brother in local dialect, it’s referring me)

Sick Song

sick song 01

Sydney was sick for the past few days

He couldn’t get himself awake

Conquered by his body ache

Flu attack his nose

Lightning hammer his head

He walks like a zombie

Resting in the daze

He dreamt a lot

Slept a little

Weak, weak, weak

Still, his daily mission had to be conveyed

It’s on the way

Click, click and click…

Click for a day

sick song 02

Sydney was sick for the past few days

He couldn’t get himself rejuvenated

Concealed by outer space virus

Fire attacked his brain

Drowsiness drowning his pace

He talks like a zombie

Resting in the daze

He slept a lot

Dreamt even more

Weak, weak, weak

Still, his daily mission had to be conveyed

It’s on the way

Wait, wait and wait…

If he made any mistake

Please forgive, as he is still on his sick bay

Reliving the Cactus Song

Posted on

Yesterday, I received an email from a US based song writing and artist development company.

They’ve stated in the email that they were fond of one of my song series – The Cactus Song, which I have written last September on my 2nd month of blogging.  They offered me a package into buying my lyrics but I have to pay an upfront.  The company will then complete the lyrics with vocal and music to compile the song and do the advertising for me.

Though this is a brand new experience but I’m not sure why I felt uncertain about it.  Perhaps I can take this opportunity to relive this song and recap my inspirations to my lover – the Cactus Song

Baja California Desert in the Cataviña region,...

I live in Texas my homeland, a desert an untouched ground

I love the sun being my clothes

And I love the sweet, warm breezy blows

With a grouchy cuckoo on my head

No autumn leaves or winter snow

No splashing stream or falling rain

Just an empty Paradise on my own,

With the rocks and stones.

I like to dance in the falling night,

With the cowboys dancing around

That is my homeland, a desert an untouched ground

I live in Singapore IKEA my homeland, a concrete desert ground

I love the air-conditioner being my jacket all year round

And I love the halogen light giving me a good shine

With a grocery shopper passer-by

No autumn leaves or winter snow

No splashing stream or falling rain

Just a perfect Paradise within my reign

With my color and little sands deco

I like to sing in my own shadow

With the shopper’s cajoling around,

This is Singapore IKEA my homeland, a concrete desert ground.
