Reliving the Cactus Song
Yesterday, I received an email from a US based song writing and artist development company.
They’ve stated in the email that they were fond of one of my song series – The Cactus Song, which I have written last September on my 2nd month of blogging. They offered me a package into buying my lyrics but I have to pay an upfront. The company will then complete the lyrics with vocal and music to compile the song and do the advertising for me.
Though this is a brand new experience but I’m not sure why I felt uncertain about it. Perhaps I can take this opportunity to relive this song and recap my inspirations to my lover – the Cactus Song
I live in Texas my homeland, a desert an untouched ground
I love the sun being my clothes
And I love the sweet, warm breezy blows
With a grouchy cuckoo on my head
No autumn leaves or winter snow
No splashing stream or falling rain
Just an empty Paradise on my own,
With the rocks and stones.
I like to dance in the falling night,
With the cowboys dancing around
That is my homeland, a desert an untouched ground
I live in Singapore IKEA my homeland, a concrete desert ground
I love the air-conditioner being my jacket all year round
And I love the halogen light giving me a good shine
With a grocery shopper passer-by
No autumn leaves or winter snow
No splashing stream or falling rain
Just a perfect Paradise within my reign
With my color and little sands deco
I like to sing in my own shadow
With the shopper’s cajoling around,
This is Singapore IKEA my homeland, a concrete desert ground.
Easter Song
When I walk up to you
I lost my arms
The closer I move
I lost my legs
The closer I look
I lost my thinking and smarty head
How can I go on without all these?
Yes, you can!
You can!
Come closer to me
I’ll show you the way
When I walk up to you
I lost my face
The closer I move
I lost my senses
The closer I look
I lost my color and vibrancy
What can I cling on without all these?
Yes, you can!
You can!
Come closer to me
I’ll show you my way
I finally walk up to you
I lost my voice
The closer I move
I lost my melody
The closer I look
I lost my words and my final confessions
Where can I hang on without all these?
Yes, you can!
You can!
I’ll show you my way
My way of living
My face of Hope
Stretchy Song
Stretch, stretch, stretch!
Stretch my arm
Stretch my body
Stretch my ligaments
Stretch my face
Stretch it to the limit
Ready for the race
Stretch to the other side of the green
To get the praise
Stretch it to the limit
To get a better day
Stretch, stretch, stretch!
Stretch my paws
Stretch my tail
Stretch my nose
Stretch my ears
Stretch it to the limit
Ready for the race
Stretch it for a better waist
To get a better praise
Stretch it to the limit
To get a happy day

Stretch, stretch, stretch!
Stretch my fingers
Stretch my brain
Stretch my shoulders
Stretch my waist
Stretch it to the limit
Ready for the race
Stretch it for a better day
Hoping for a praise
Stretch it to the limit
To get a better pay

Valentine’s Song
I’m always by your side
I’ll always be your pride
To ease your pain
We go for a ride
We walk on the bridge
Everything will be fine
Don’t ask me why
I’m always by your side
I’ll always be your bride
To soften your face
We go for a ride
We walk on the water
Everything will be fine
I don’t know why
I’m always by your side
I’ll always be your pride
To brighten up your day
We go for a ride
You look at the east
Me at the west
Everything will be fine
Don’t ask me why
I’m always by your side
I’ll always be your bride
To alleviate your naughtiness
We go for a ride
You look at the left
Me at the right
Everything seems to be fine
I don’t know why
I just don’t know why
32) River Song
Hey, are you able to perceive my vocal?
I know,
You were born beyond the heart of South China Sea
Driven day and night
Arrives at dawn
Who should we care when we look up?
Someone at the riverbank
Who will be there while we look up?
Someone at the riverside
It flows, flows and flows…
Flowing into my ground
Flowing into my house
Flowing into my tap
Flowing into my thirsty heart and dehydrated chest
Hey, are you able to hear my voice?
I know,
You were born within the heart of Sungei Serangoon
Lying there day and night
Awakening at dawn
Who should we love when we look up?
Someone at the riverbank
Who will be tearing when we look up?
Someone at the riverside
It flows, flows and flows…
Flowing into my land
Flowing into my home
Flowing into my cup
Flowing into my dehydrated chest and thirsty heart
Hey, are you able to hear my loitering?
I know,
You were born by the heart of My Waterway
Dreaming day and night
Awakening at dawn
Who should we stop when we look up?
Someone at the riverbank
Who will be smiling when we look up?
Someone at the riverside
It flows, flows and flows…
Flowing into my earth
Flowing into my room
Flowing into my throat
Flowing into my empty boat and uncountable books
29) All these are happening in my Secret Garden
When spring arrives and visits my Secret Garden this morning. I am enchanted as it sprinkles his hand to fertile us.
Some may take it one at a time.
Some may take a bigger share and keep it for rainy days.
Some may not be able to catch it on time.
Some can’t even feel it at all.
Some sobbed and are moved by the divine touch.
Some are just glad with their given portion.
Some are overflow with it.
Some stick out their neck day and night begging for the mercy of nature.
Yelling out, “Here, here, we are here!”
Then, they are stretching out each and every day, taller and taller, higher and higher!
All these are happening in my Secret Garden.
28) I beg I’ll never forget each day
I got a blush in ginger red
Breezing followers and green hand shake
Making their own bliss all the way
Coming here for my date
Hundreds of gratitude
Thousands of praises each day
I beg I’ll never forget a single day
Sending out wishes to each individual face
Never will I be late for their grace
I got a job at my own pond edge
Showery lotus with uncountable faith
Sending my smile all the way
Coming for my set free day
Hundreds of fans
Thousands of mates
I beg I’ll never forget each day
Showing up my way to each individual face
I’ll make sure I’ll always made your day

I got my blue inside a bamboo cage
Plenty of freedom beyond outside stage
Laughing for fun all the way
Coming for my singing day
Hundreds of dollars
Thousands of days
I beg I’ll never forget each day
Singing out my songs to each individual face
I’ll make sure I’ll never wake up late
27) Not a Lonely Song
Nature is getting further
Weather is getting warmer
And someone gives him a pat on his shoulders
Friend of greens
Friend of moss
Friend of aged old stone
Sydney is not snapping alone
Flowers getting brittle
Winter getting chiller
Sydney sling with his camera
And someone gives him a pat on his shoulders
Chat about garden
Chat about animal
Chat about aged old stone
Sydney is not talking alone
People getting colder
Garbage getting closer
Sydney sling with his camera
And someone gives him a pat on his shoulders
Blog about jokers
Blog about environmental
Blog about aged old stone
Sydney is not blogging alone
Definitely not blogging alone!
Friend (23) – Falling is Just Another Form of Dancing / 朋友- 跌倒又跳舞

Road, it is born for us to tread on. For a life time, we flatten and walk on it for countless time. Yet, when it is uneven, we start to complain about it, and when we trip on it, we grumble on our own bad luck.
Yet, if you are lucky, you board the broad sunny way with pleasant scenery and you say, “well, I created my own road”. Then, many a times, we step on mud, collide with stones, cross the tough Himalayas, go against the tide of the Atlantic. And again, this is the time you started to question yourself on the road you are travelling.
The day I nearly slip and fell on a mossy floor along the corridor. In the midst of panic, I felt I fell with a beautiful stance, and started to understand the fact that a fall can be swift, yet graceful and poise.
Life is filled with swiftly changes and it is a stage with ups and downs. Rather than complaining it being slippery, why not help things along; have a dancing fall, slide out your steps with a spring, as Spring is not far away from us!
