Friend (11) – Monkey / 朋友（11）- 猴子
在驶往贝雅士蓄水池的小路上,发现一头猴子蹲在路旁,外表逗趣可爱长相令人发笑。灰色的毛发与傻呼呼的样子，在看守来往的车子。
In Pierce Reservoir along Old Upper Thomson Road, saw a monkey kneeing along the roadside. His cute appearance looks ridiculous and his gray hair and insensibly manifestation guards at every car that passes by.
车子慢慢移近，它站起了身体，对车子有所期待。我没把车窗调下，以防它来个七十二变。它等了一会儿见车里头没动静，又坐回原位。我拿起相机拍它的样子，但它却不理不睬，还故意把脸转向另一边。它似乎提醒我，要拍就要有酬劳。
He stood up to the body, whenever a vehicle move closer to him as if there is something to look forward from the car. I decline to unwind the car windows, just in case he stuns his“Seventy Two Transformation”. While he waited for awhile and see no movement in the car, he sank back in situ. As I direct my camera towards his direction, he ignore my interest on him and turn his face away from me. He seems to be reminding me for a reward if I demand a snapshot from him.

Reminders have been put up constantly by relevant authorities to the public not to feed wild animals without invalid reasons.
自然界里的一草一木，自有它求存的一套本领。每一各体总有他的强项与天分。这套本领舍弃了而去依赖外界的施舍，到头来只剩下外界的怜憫眼光与那副博人同情的可怜相。
Flora and Fauna in their natural habitat has its own sets of survival skills. Each bodied its own strength and flair. Once the skills are discarded, it relies on external aid to subsist. End of the day, what is remained and reminded is the pathetic vision asking for mercy from our human eyes.
幸亏猴子还算可爱，再来几只也无伤大雅。
Fortunately, monkeys are delightfully adorable, a few more to come is harmless and undisruptive at least to our very own nature that is loosing out in no time soon.

Friend (10) – Epiphyllum / 朋友（10）- 昙花
摸黑起早，就为了一沾昙花的笑容。但来时一晚，无缘在大家高兴的时候碰面，心里不免有点失望。但想想，花儿如果知道你因为看不到它美丽的一面而失望，它不是比你更失望。
Getting up in the dark just to steal a glance of the smile of the Epiphyllum. Then again, was not on time for this happy moment for her glory. Though a little disappointed, but after some thoughts, if the Queen of the Night were to know of my regrets was due to her premature appearance before dawn, guess she may feel more remorseful than me.
想到这点，急忙拿起相机拍下它矫柔隐退的那一刻，为自己写下与花共舞的一章。
The thought of this makes me capture the soft retreat of this unusual moment while I penned down my own chapter of Dances with the Flowers.
世人赞叹昙花一现的珍贵，因为它开花那一刻是如此的短暂。
While all admire the rarely night blooms of its kind, for the reason it wilthers mysteriously shortly before dawn.
相比之下，在它凋谢的时候，却无人瞻仰。原因是花已老去，好景已逝。试问，有几个人会赞美老去的花朵呢？
In contrast, when it withers, there was no one to pay her their last respects, as she shrivels, good time is already a past. How often do we praise an aged blossom?
没有一朵花永远被人赞美。
Then, no bloom forever earned our praises.
镌古永恒，是我今早追寻昙花的那一刻，我将不会忘记那种追花的感觉。花虽已凋谢，但那股追花的信念，正在心里慢慢地化开。
The moment I pursue this Queen of the Night is going to be eternal, I will never fail to remember the trail. Though she had faded, but the sentiment of the pursuit has just began.
10) An Army Camp (1) – unwanted visitor / 兵营 (1) – 不速之客
事情发生在本地兵营。
一晚，回营训练士兵需要在2359之前回营报到。由于大家提早报到，趁着多余的时间他们在一楼的休息室闲聊。聊着聊着，士兵John说有点累他要回房休息，于是他先行离开。
大伙儿继续聊天吃东西，突然一名士兵从二楼跑下来，满脸慌张地说：“大事不好了！John好象中邪了！”
大伙儿听了一窝蜂跑上楼！来到房间，只见John一个人坐在床缘面向窗口，身体不停地前后摇晃。大伙儿见状，警惕地走近John。只听见John用福建话不断地重复一句话：“叫我上来做什么？ 叫我上来做什么？”
接着，他发疯似的对着一个站在窗旁的士兵乱骂：“不要挡住我的路，臭小子！”大家吓了一跳，唯唯诺诺退出房间。
退出了房间，你看我，我看你，怎么办？大家不知如何是好。
正好，这时住在隔壁房外号九纹龙的士兵杀气腾腾走了出来，没头没脑就对他们乱k一顿！但九纹龙已改邪归正，所以脾气也收敛了许多，又因为见的世面多，见到被骂的同僚没有吭声，感觉不妥就问：“什么事？”
这班吓破胆的士兵只会用手指指向房间，然后自动化地让出条路给他过。
“搞什么东西！” 九纹龙自言自语走了进去。
进到房间见到john的情况，他心里有个底。接着，他慢慢地移到john的身边。九纹龙的篤定，令他们想到九纹龙其实是一名professional乩童，所以这个大工程由这位professional take over是最恰当不过。
现在，项目由九纹龙in charge,他对John说：“你是谁？为什么上他的身？”
John低下头，喃喃自语：“你们叫我上来。。。。。你们叫我上来。。。。。
”就一直重复同样的话。
“我们叫你上来？谁啊？你们啊？” 九纹龙转头问那些士兵，那些士兵既摇头又摇手急忙说没有！
“我们没有叫你上来。” 九纹龙回应。
“香在窗口。。。。。香在窗口。。。。。”John重复一句‘新’的话。
香在窗口？九纹龙听了在那儿沉思。接着，他似乎领悟到东西，点了点头，对那些虾兵蟹将说：“你们去查一查整座楼的窗口上有没有人点香，快！快去！” 虾兵蟹将即刻接受命令，正要退下。
“还有！” 九纹龙还没讲完，虾兵蟹将钉在地上继续等待命令。
“如果找到香，先请示一下，然后说声对不起拜三拜才拿下来，懂吗？” 虾兵蟹将似懂非懂一接命令然后一拍两散！
没多久，虾兵蟹将回来，其中一个手里拿着香。
九纹龙一见怒斥：“你拿到香还不丢掉，拿来拜自己啊？”士兵听了慌忙丢掉。
跟着,九纹龙用尊敬的语气对John说：“对不起！是我的朋友不小心把你请上来，不好意思你要回去吗？”
John听了之后，身体左右摇晃地站起来，低着头一步步走出房间（这情形蛮恐怖的），来到外头的走廊，他停住了脚步但身体还在不断地摇晃，双脚原地踏步，就不停地摇晃。
九纹龙觉得有点不妥就问John：“什么事？”
“椅子，椅子。。。。。”John讲的话只有九纹龙会听得懂。
“快快去拿张椅子来！” 虾兵蟹将几个人忙着去找椅子，结果真的换来几张椅子。
九纹龙哭笑不得，随便拿了张椅子放在John后面，John在摇晃中坐下。
接着， John又有所要求：“茶，香，茶，香。。。。。”
虾兵蟹将听了，嗖的一声就去找茶和香，真是熟能生巧！
没多久，香是来了，但是却没有茶！
大家你看我，我看你，其中一个问九纹龙：“Ang Mo Teh 可以吗？但是咖啡店也关了叻！所以白开水可以吗？”
九纹龙盯着他说：“这时候你还会搞笑？”一边接过他手中的白开水，慢慢递给John。
John接过他们的水和香，左手抿了一嘴水，右手拿着香，轻轻地叹了一声气，说：“我要走了，我要走了。。。。。”
其实这时候已经有一大群虾兵蟹将围着John看戏，感觉象在看脱口秀（只不过主角是坐着的）。
John一说完我要走了，突然，站在他前面的几个人无端端往后翻倒！ 大家都感觉有一道力量经过。
接着John身体一松一软，整个人往前倒。。。。。
幸亏虾兵蟹将及时把他扶住，但John似乎迷迷糊糊整个人松趴趴的，大伙儿见状只好把他抬到床上。
不久，他才悠悠醒来，他望着床边的虾兵蟹将们感觉万分惊讶。
无力地说：“你们在这做什么？探病啊？”
虾兵蟹将被骂后全部一哄而散，只剩下几个室友和九纹龙，还有床上的John。
九纹龙问John：“你知道刚才那东西上你的身吗？”
“其实，我今晚已经感觉有点不妥了，所以我先回房睡觉。哪里知道一睡下去就昏昏沉沉的，一醒来就看见你们。”
“老兄，你知不知道有人把香插在窗口上？” 九纹龙说道。
“是那一个兔崽子做的！让我知道有他好看！”John非常生气地说。
“你应该知道香插在玻璃上经玻璃反射可以招到的，这种事情我们不可以阻止别人做，怪只能怪你自己身为乩童他们上你的身你也不知道！”原来John也是一名乩童。
“老兄啊！我是乩童，但不象你这样professional的，我是part-time的，功力当然没有你好啦。。。。。” John有点难为情。
“所以，还要怪谁？难道怪他们啊？” 九纹龙指着窗外。
“呵呵。。。。。 sorry！”John忙赔个不是。
折腾了一晚，2359早一过，事情了结，上床睡觉。

9) Friend – Pyrite / 朋友(9) – 黄铁矿
太太买给我的这块小矿石摆在桌上已有好几年。华人相信这种黄铁矿能带给人财运，至今，我还怀疑。
My wife gave me a piece of Pyrite and it was lying on my table for several years. Some believe that Pyrite can bring wealth, but I am sceptical about the effects it can convey.
这小矿石酷似黄金，但与黄金的身价却天渊之别。
This Ore resembles gold, but in contrast with gold, it worth a world of difference.
无疑的，在众多的矿石中它是一个小人物；一两的山寨版黄金。
Undoubtedly, in the giant colliery, it is a little guy；an ounce of countefeit gold.
但如果你细细把它放大看，里头的景观有如外太空星球的表面，它本身组成的立方体层层叠叠，充满艺术感，就好比展览馆里的艺术品。
But under the magnifying glass, the landscape of this little guy resembles the outer space, the planet’s surface. The cube itself is a composition of layers of nature’s art works resurfacing in an exhibition hall.
这些纹路有致的小立方体，每一个代表人生的转折，一个转折将会影响下一个位置。而这些弯曲转折的山路，不就是它把故事凑起来的小镜头吗？
The lines caustic by the little small cubes, each and every pieces representing a turning point in life; a turning point affecting the next position. Just like the curvy turning point of a mountain, pooling the little shot of our own story.
8) Friend – Freedom / 朋友(8) – 自由
露台外又多了一位小不点，外貌平凡，身材普通。
There is a little plant growing outside the terrace, simple looking and ordinary.
它又是太太在外头采香而来，看着七里香（Murraya）伸展双臂，象似一个小孩要求母亲的拥抱，在太阳温煦的手掌里微笑。
It is my wife’s latest seed picking collection from the park outside, looking at the Murraya, it’s stretching it’s arms like a child, awaiting from the embrace of its mother, smiling in the sun’s warmth palm.
朋友，你看到吗？它叫“自由”。
Do you see its freedom…friends?
它有肥沃的泥土，它有充足的水分，它有无忧的童真。
It has fertile soil, it has plenty of moisture, it has carefree innocence.
嬉戏就是它的玩具，哭闹就是它的手脚，它有跌倒的权力，它有伤心的自由。
我不打算给它特别的呵护，只让它拥有一双自由的翅膀，这样它的童年才有意义。
No toys required， it has the freedom of a bawl. It has the right of its fall. Liberty to its own poignancy.
No intention to provide it with special care, as it was given the wings of freedom, to make its childhood significant.
7) Friend – colour / 朋友 (7) – 色彩
你可以在色彩的世界里找到朋友。大自然赐与你无数的调色板让你无止境发挥。
如果你喜欢蓝，去找海洋，接触和平的使者。
If you like blue, get to the sea, contact with the angels of peace.
如果你喜欢红，去一下秋天，那枫叶红得令人迷醉。
If you like red, go look for Autumn, that Maple Leaf is so ravishing red.
如果你喜欢绿，只需要打开窗户或走出门外，一片绿油油的草地等着你。
if you like green，just open the windows or go out of the door, lush grass is waiting for you.
就算你喜欢黑也没错，来到原始的宇宙，黑是如此高尚与神秘。
Even if you like black is also true to the original universe, black is so noble and mysterious.
所以朋友，你的名字叫‘色彩’。
你有无数追随者，伤心的画家与开心的气球。
在缤纷的世界里你静静的喝彩，在喧闹的世界里你保持沉默。
你有你缤纷的春天，你有你白皚嵦的雪。
6) Friend – shadow / 朋友(6) – 影子
我们的影子跟随我们一生，从呱呱落地到安静入土。
当我们以匆忙的脚步穿梭短暂的人间，你可曾留意脚下的影子？
你走到哪儿，它去到哪儿，形影相随，陪你一生。
The shadows follow me, and the night won’t set me free.
But I don’t let the evening get me down，
Now that you’re around me.
别让心灵的黑影囚禁你，别让黑夜无情击垮你。
去找个朋友吧！
去外头结识朋友也好或去欣赏一朵小花也好，让这些朋友为你散发芬芳，排忧解难。
