War Memorial Park
This Civilian War Memorial is located in War Memorial Park, the open space between City Hall MRT and One Raffles Link.
The Memorial is dedicated to all those who perished during 2nd World War, Japanese Occupation of Singapore from 1942 to 1945.
The four vertical of 70 meters high pillars, symbolic the share experience of the Chinese, Malays, Indians and other races.
The remains of unknown victims are interred beneath the monument.
Today is the National Day of Singapore, we shall let this Memorial to act as a reminder, to cherish and treasure every blossom in this peaceful century.

Hi! My dear Marsha, Sydney is very tie up lately. I don’t blog everyday now, so much things to start up a new office! In fact, this is my 3rd office I set up, the past 2 didint turn up well! 😦
But is okay to me, I always look out a door suitable for me!

Hi dear Sydney, I hope things go well with office #3. We have a saying, “Third time’s a charm.” So best wishes on this new office. I’m busy with California Council for the Social Studies right now. I’m working with our new secretary, getting the website updated, and getting our social media active. Going to try to write a book, too, and keep up two blogs and other social media. Whew! Glad I retired. 🙂 Lots of love, M

YES, I agree totally!! In fact, that very balance may be the biggest challenge facing people in today’s world. In graduate school nearly 20 years ago, my professors taught me that we MUST take care to make technology our servant and not our master. I have never forgotten that advice, and I have learned to welcome those times when our minds are telling us it is time to UNPLUG and take a walk or spend some time in quiet contemplation. Good luck with your move!

There is a small wood nearby my office, can’t access but if you passby you would be able to hear cicada singing and the wind whispering within.
This is what I call a green land in me.
Eventhought I’m in concrete jungle, I’m always finetuning the frequency to match the color of green.
You are right, to UNPLUG, to take a walk and contemplation. Feel the breeze of Autumn.
