I love the 1970 one! Of course because I LOVE YELLOW so much! I like the simplicity of all them all. They are beautiful!
February 28, 2013 at 1:07 am
That is the cutest one! I have not seen that in my life time, most probably I was not born!
February 28, 2013 at 2:49 am
and I like the red one best. It reminds me of the phantom toll booth!!
February 28, 2013 at 12:41 pm
It left two in my country for memory! This is most classic one!
February 28, 2013 at 3:13 am
The red one of the 50s is classical. They were in Hong Kong too.
February 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm
I think we were under British those days!
February 28, 2013 at 4:45 am
Between the 1950s and the 1970s those boxes were robbed of a lot of charm.
February 28, 2013 at 1:04 pm
And cutie too!
February 28, 2013 at 5:04 am
So no new post office boxes since the 90s?
I enjoy the pictures and the history though.
February 28, 2013 at 1:06 pm
The 1990s until present!
Thanks, Keith! Have a great day!
February 28, 2013 at 12:41 pm
Wow this is so interesting. Why did they change the nice red box? I don’t like the one from the 1990′s
February 28, 2013 at 1:13 pm
Those were the one we have it during Britist Colonial days! As for now I feel the same like you!
Lack of creativity and boring!
Hey, thanks for reading!
February 28, 2013 at 9:27 pm
I like the 1950s the most, has the feel… hehe
February 28, 2013 at 9:29 pm
They left 2 now! Do you know where are they?
February 28, 2013 at 9:59 pm
Don’t know wor…
February 28, 2013 at 10:52 pm
One is outside Singapore Philatelic Museum, the another one in Fullerton Hotel.
February 28, 2013 at 9:42 pm
What a pity they moved away from the 1950′s ones. They were lovely
February 28, 2013 at 9:48 pm
But gladly, left 2 at the moment. One in Hotel Fullerton for Historic memory, the other one still serving the public but semi-retirement!
February 28, 2013 at 10:26 pm

What a cool idea for a blog! Very creative. I can’t think of the last time I saw a mail box that wasn’t located outside a post office. I need to be more observant!
March 1, 2013 at 2:08 pm
Can’t wait to see it!
March 1, 2013 at 10:09 pm
How interesting! I love the 1950s one.
March 1, 2013 at 10:34 pm
We are fan of those!
March 2, 2013 at 11:53 pm
Wow the evolution of things… everything – is always so interesting!
March 3, 2013 at 9:31 pm
You are always so sweet!
March 4, 2013 at 1:29 pm
Son interesting….I’m guess the British red, which matches their phone booth color in England, disappeared as the monarchy’s control over Singapore lessened?
March 4, 2013 at 4:30 pm
I’m not sure why is it getting lesser and lesser
But at least presently left two, not too bad!
March 17, 2013 at 11:42 pm
Great photos-it is interesting how *tastes* change over the years even with something as simple as a mailbox. Very interesting too for the decreasing design aesthetic too from the 1950s on-
